Accommodation

The accommodation at Peak Boarding has been carefully planned with your dog’s needs  at the forefront.

We have recently relocated, so this set up is based on experience and what we think is best for your dogs to ensure they have a great time with us.

The dog room has been set out into 4 separate areas, along with an extra room joined on, this has been set out like this so that in the daytime the dogs can go in and out of each area and in and out of the undercover area.

Then at night time the doors are closed, the dogs can settle down for the evening on the comfy beds with the underfloor heating and radio on.

We find that if they have their own space in the evening they settle better and get some well needed rest.

As the dogs are at times with  other dogs from other households in the communal areas & for exercise, we can only board dogs that are always 100% sociable with all other dogs.
(if your dog does not like being on its own then it can be left  with another friendly dog for company at night)

Daily Routine

A typical day here consists of doors opening and out for the toilet at 7am, sometimes we go for a walk straight away then breakfast, other times we do breakfast then out for a walk, this changes to suit the dogs staying.
10am – Once the dogs have been exercised in our fields they can go into the outdoor area for a play, relax or have a nap in their cosy rooms.
Whilst the dogs are in the dog room/outdoor area they can see out so can always see people around and get plenty of attention!

12 noon – lunchtime if required/cleaning of sleeping areas/outdoor area.
Between 1pm & 3pm back out  into the fields for more playtime.

5/6pm Tea time – each dog is  fed separately and they are kept separate until all food is cleaned away.

7pm evening run (summertime only) wintertime this is in the yard.
10pm/11pm final toilet opportunity, lights out.

If your dog sleeps in a crate at home, we will also use a crate here so it’s the same routine. If you dog doesn’t settle at all, we will try a crate to see if that helps to make them feel safe.

Exercise area – the area where we walk the dogs is fenced in with 4ft wire fencing, we cannot board dogs that have a tendency to jump walls/gates.

You must agree prior to boarding if your dog can go off the lead for walks, if you agree they can go off the lead and do jump over a gate or wall we will not be held responsible.
